    Currently, Themes don't have full compatibility with v4.
    Try themes which are v4 compatible, they might work. (Personally i haven't tried any)

    I just pull miuiSystemUi.apk from the rom I download
    Make the changes I want such as changing the status bar icons
    then put it in an flashable update script zip
    flash it through recovery and that's it.

    Yeah, but thats not automatic and painful.

    From looking at the forums at MIUI, it seems there doing themes correctly and slowly. There seems to be a computer application in progress to help make MIUI, my UI. They really want to have a lot of themes, and a good system at that.

    i have looked in miui system ui apk i cant find the pull down status bar background can you please theme the status bar black or transparent black and make a zip, it would mean the world to me and many others than ks a million if you help out with this !!!
