    No worries about the speedy reply, we all work, family etc, but we do take a moment and power answer users questions for a while before we vanish back into the real world :D

    OK to use google now :

    You need to be running the latest 2.8.17 (check the OP as over weekend there were some updates which added news GAPPS which include Google now etc. So its possible that you may be using the first update from friday. check this, download and update (flash straight over. (back up as always)

    Then you should be able to hold the home (virtual button down) to access google now and you will also see a google icon in app drawer.

    I came from Stock JB ROM and the camera on this one seems more like ICS camera. Is this the jb camera?

    What is your device ?

    And if you are currently running MIUI 4.1 on Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 please re-download and re-flash the rom in the OP as it was hotfixed with new GAPPS inc those that come with JB.

    Having some little issues testing tonight on my N7, I will be addressing the known issues in the ROM, ill be checking tomorrow's build and taking my tablet to work.

    Working till 9pm tomorrow night in my real job, so 8am to 9pm, lots of fun! + helping manage the site here.

    Hope people understand this when wondering what's happening. We've not forgot about the issues as it also effects our devices (in some cases) so we're as keen for a fix as you all are.

    Next weeks JB ROMS will be a lot quicker to the release stage, we had to do a lot of refactoring of our build system. Having been the second to release ALL ROMS on Friday (China being first obviously) i'd say given we have day jobs and lifes this was a great achievement.

    We will keep you posted here with any further updates.

    Best ROM out for the Nexus 7. Only thing I'd like to see is a way to "shrink" the nav bar size. It is way too big when scaled up from a phone to a 7" tablet. Other than that it's great!

    I am using the 2.8.17 on Nexus S and having bugs such as:
    - MIUI music WONT detect my mp3
    - Gallery wont detect my old pic saved in the DCIM

    WHat i have done is:
    - clean install and full wipe before installing ROM
    - Refreshing the MIUI music and gallery and wait for it
    - renaming and moving the mp3 and the pics in other folder

    But still doesnt help.

    Any clue? Is this a bug or just my fault?

    Hey guys,

    i am running 2.8.17 on a nexus s. back when i had my sgs2 i really liked the lockscreen player interface. but on the nexus s, the interface is really laggy. inputs are recognized like 2 seconds after they have been made. is this a nexus s performance issue?

    dont think its a bug because miui does detect my old pics in dcim. same goes for music.

    Hi,

    Does miui rom 2.8.17 solve (like cyanogen 10 rom example...) default law volume speaker of galaxy nexus?
    Which Kernel it use ?

    Sorry for OT, I have tried to ask into the forum but nothing ... Please anybody so kind to reply ? Is very important, I don't know Miui rom very well... Thanks a lot
