HOW TO UPDATE MOTOROLA MILESTONE TO LATEST ROM

Hi to all you.
I am having a little problem on how to update to MIUI 1.9.30 from 1.9.9.
I have already downloaded 1.9.30.
What I've tried is renamed the downloaded 1.9.30 to "update.zip".
Then I enter into Recovery.
I have done wipe cache.
Then, still on the recovery, tried install from sd card update.zip.
But it didn't worked. It told me something like about verification.

Can somebody give me a step-step way on how can I update?
It would be a great help.

Don't change filename of downloaded ROM file. Connect phone with USB cable and put this file into OpenRecovery/updates folder. Then reboot phone, enter OpenRecovery, wipe cache and dalvik, enter 'apply updates' and select new rom file and after a while update should be completed. Wipe cache and dalvik again and reboot phone. That's all.

i've just want to make a confirmation.
Is Open Recovery is the thing when doing, (1) Power Button + X then (2) Volume up + Camera?

What i see in there is this:

Use d-pad to highlight; center to select.

apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
---------------------------------------------------------------

I tried first wipe cache partition.
Then apply sdcard: update.zip but i said like this:

--Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted

Could you help me about this?
Is that interface what you call Open Recovery, or if it is not, how to I get into Open Recovery?

You can try to dowload the OR again. Maybe you could delete some photo which belong to OR. Try this. Hope to hear the good new from you. Sorry for my bad English.

I have the exact same problem now. I am stuck at the same point.
I want to upgrade from 1.12.2 to 1.12.9 but it keeps on showing

"apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition"

It was working earlier.

if you're about to move to higher versions of MIUI but then won't be loss all data, just do NOT wipe at all, just Apply it

Can anyone help me in finding latest MIUI rom 2.5.25 for Milestone, as in download section I did not see any milestone device.I coming back after a big gap and I updated with last 2.4.6...
Is support for Milestone have been stopped. What was the last latest version? I want to update my milestone.Give me link of latest.
